Wandered over to the outdoor dining section in the Gables and decided on trying something new. A server greeted us and told us to find a table with a QR Menu code. The tables were quite dirty unfortunately, but not quite enough to deter us away. So we sat down and ordered two of their orange beers. I actually really enjoyed the taste. I don't like IPAs and this one wasn't too piney tasting. Reminded me of a Blue Moon, but better. For food we both ordered the Udon Noodles and the chicken pot pie croquettes. The Udon noodles themselves were very good with a flavorful sauce. It also came with kale and pieces of chicken. This was definitely tasty, but not special enough for me to order again. I give It a 4/5. As for the chicken pot pie croquettes.OMG. A culinary masterpiece, but the order only comes with two, so you may need 2 orders. Definitely a 5/5. We were especially hungry and I was really craving fries, so we also ordered a fish and chips to share. It was untraditionally made with catfish which was tasty, but different than what I expected. The fries were good, but some were definitely over cooked. 3.5/5 Additionally, the servers were really nice and I loved the ambiance of the outdoor seating with the twinkle lights.
Checking out this place for the first time. They have craft beers that are really good Fried chicken platter was delicious Fish and chips were a little salty but very good. The mojo chicken burger was amazing and the double burger was a sure winner. Really enjoyed sitting outside on giralda Ave enjoying a Sunday with my family. Service was great and this is a definite return place for us.
I really enjoyed my last visit to Craft. The service I have received on every visit has been better than average. The Local Craft has a good menu that is very meat-centric and oriented. It is meat first here. I had a quality burger on my last visit. In the drinks department, the bar was well stocked and there are a lot of different whiskeys. The decor and ambiance at The Local Craft is great. The restaurant is located on the pedestrian street mall in Coral Gables. I would come back here anytime.
The Local is a mainstay on Giralda and I know why! With a solid food and drink menu, there's a little something for everyone. Now that this section of Giralda is completely paved off to pedestrians, it's great for a meal al fresco, but the inside has a certain type of cozy charm, too. I've recently been twice for dinner and have enjoyed everything I've tried. I'm a sucker for cheese and charcuterie, and here you can build a board with their offerings which is a great way to start. From there, they're known for their burger but I recently tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was super solid (loved the fries, too). The macaroni and cheese is pretty good but VERY rich and heavy, so you've been warned... If you can manage to save room for dessert, the brownie with ice cream is divine. They offer happy hour until 7:00 pm which discounts well drinks, wine and beer. Service has always been friendly. I definitely plan to come back! The menu rotates fairly often, so there's always something new to try.
Um, hello new favorite burger in Miami. I can't tell you the amount of times I've walked by this joint and thought to myself "gotta try that place," but never did. Until now. Forget all preconceptions you've ever had about burgers. "The burger" is easily one of the best ones you'll have in SoFlo. The brisket blend meat is cooked to a perfect medium, topped with cheese, pickles, a delicious bacon jam, and the house version of pink sauce. Every bite is just as good as the last. We also ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which has presentation points because of the extra melty cheese it's topped with, but in no way can it compare in flavor. They also offer a vast selection of craft beer which is cool too. I went during "brunch" time so didn't get a chance to experience the full menu, but will definitely be coming back. As should you! PS this spot was featured on Guy Fieri's diners, drive ins, and dives.
Happy Sunday We decided to come try out this place after so many time seeing it after our workouts .. I ordered the cheddar cheese pancakes with fried chicken our start dish was hash browns and the disco fries super good but the Hashbrown were not what we expected.the next dish was the steak n eggs The steak was okay but I tried better Our server Deborah was nice and attentive .
We had the Lavender and Guava sodas and both were so good. The Lavender is on the sweeter side and the Guava is more tarte. The Blue Crab hush puppies were delicious but when I saw pictures on yelp they looked like they used to be bigger and come with more. This was good but came with about 10 or 12 small pieces. The Truffle Mac and Cheese was pretty good as well but I preferred the Hush Puppies. When I sat down this woman came out and brought utensils and I said hi good afternoon and she did not respond, I assumed she didnt hear me. Then she came back to fill my waters and I said thanks and she looked at me and completely ignored me. Pretty rude and unprofessional. My server was very nice and helpful. We told her we were in a rush so she brought us the bill pretty quickly.
Giralda Plaza has evolved profusely post-reconstruction. Among the new restaurants in this area is The Local Craft Food & Drink. Considering my friend wanted to check out the scene, he chose this place and off we went. Because it was during a week day, parking was fairly easy, but even then, there's a parking garage nearby. There are options for parking and you won't have that fear that exists in other sides of Miami, where you dread being booted or towed. Anyway, we made it just in time for happy hour. My friend had some wine, while I went against the grain and got some ginger ale. Menu was quite varied and it introduced me to some things I had never heard of before such as fried chicken oysters. Don't ask me what those are by the way. I haven't the foggiest clue. I had some macaroni and cheese, my friend had the fried chicken with fingerling potatoes. Portions are big, and all in all, it was a nice night with our waitress, Kalia, being gracious.
